The buildup of dirt and dust particles over the paint surface
Possible causes:
The use of low quality paint (especially flat type)
Air pollution and flying dust particles over paint surface
Solution:
Wash all surface to be painted thoroughly, if dirt is thick use pressured water. Even though dirt can not be eliminated 100%, use top quality latex exterior paint that has a higher gloss characteristic such as PERMACOATŪ. The reason for the higher gloss over flat is that flat finish contains more pores resulting in more dirt pickup.
