Weakening of Color (Fading)
Lightening of color in the paint that can be caused from sunny exposure and/or chalking.
Possible causes:
Usage of interior paint for outdoor surface
Usage of lower quality paint
Usage of paint color that is susceptible to UV radiation such as certain reds, blues and yellows
Solution:
When chalking is present, clean the surface from chalking (see chalking problem).
For repainting, use top quality exterior paint PERMACOAT® with recommended colors for outdoor.
